Thermal System Insulation (TSI), Surfacing Asbestos Containing Material, Presumed Asbestos Containing Materials (25 linear or 10 sq. feet or more)
ACM work that is not TSI or Surfacing Materials, including but not limited to wallboard, floor tile, sheeting, roofing and siding shingles, and construction mastics
A consultant will inspect the nature of the ACM, take randomized samples of the ACM, and check the analytical results of those bulk samples. Afterwards, they will complete and deliver an Asbestos Survey Report and Work Plan.
Key on-site personnel will review the work plan and scope of project and submit any state and federally required notifications.
On-site personnel will conduct a final walkthrough to ensure initial survey conditions are unvaried, demarcate work area with warning signs, put up critical barriers, cover walls and/or floors with sheets of poly plastic, set up proper decontamination areas, and set up all negative air machines to maintain negative air pressure to minimize dust particles while work is ongoing.
Sprayers will be used to wet all materials before demo, and HEPA Vacuums will be used to ensure the site is clean and all debris is containerized before the end of every work shift. Afterwards, technicians will complete the gross removal of all ACM and conduct a visual inspection and walkthrough to ensure no residual ACM in work area. Pre-clearance testing is then executed and outer layer of poly is removed before final testing is performed. Once the work area passes final clearance, it is cleared for re-occupancy.
