Before you call

What to expect when you call

Most people reaching this page have never had to arrange anything like this before, and are doing it on the worst day they have had in a while. Here is what actually happens, so there are fewer unknowns. You are not expected to have details ready, and you are not expected to have decided anything yet.

Call (469) 283-5227

Someone answers, any hour

We are available 24/7/365 and can be on site within 24 hours. If you are calling at three in the morning because you cannot do anything else until this is handled, that is a normal call to receive.

Vehicles are unmarked

Nothing that arrives at the property announces what it is there for. Neighbors do not need to learn anything about your situation from the curb, and that is not a detail we treat as optional.

You do not have to be there

Some people want to be present and some cannot be, and both are fine. We can work with a family member, an attorney, a property manager or an estate representative, and we document the work so whoever was not there can see what was done.

Nothing is thrown away without asking

Personal items, documents and anything that looks like it might matter are set aside rather than discarded. On hoarding work in particular, the pace is set by the person whose home it is.

You get the scope and the cost in writing

Before work begins, not after. This is not a category where anyone should be discovering the number at the end.

The work is regulated, not just thorough

Material is handled under the federal bloodborne pathogens standard, removed as regulated medical waste, and the property is disinfected and verified rather than simply cleared out.

What we handle

Specialty cleaning services

Biohazard cleanup

Blood, bodily fluids and other potentially infectious material, removed and disinfected under OSHA bloodborne pathogens protocols. Porous material that cannot be disinfected is removed rather than treated. More in our biohazard cleanup FAQs.

Crime scene cleanup

Restoration after a traumatic event, handled discreetly and without asking the family to be involved in any part of it they would rather not be. Our crime scene cleanup FAQs answer what families most often need first, including who pays.

Hoarding cleanup

Step-by-step cleanout and sanitizing, worked at a pace the resident can tolerate rather than a schedule imposed on them. Structural and biohazard issues underneath are addressed as they surface. Pricing is set out in the hoarding cleanup FAQs.

Specialty disinfection

Disinfection of homes, offices and shared facilities after an infectious exposure — not only COVID-19, but influenza, RSV, norovirus and MRSA, which more often move through a workplace or a care facility.

Paying for it

Who pays for this

This is the question families ask second, after asking how soon we can come. It is worth answering plainly, because a surprising number of people pay out of pocket for work that was covered.

01

Homeowners insurance

Many homeowners and property policies cover biohazard and trauma cleanup, sometimes under a named provision and sometimes as general property damage. Call your carrier before you assume it is not covered, and ask specifically rather than describing it generally.

02

Crime victims' compensation

Texas operates a Crime Victims' Compensation Program through the Attorney General's office, which can reimburse crime scene cleanup for eligible victims and their families. It is separate from insurance and does not require the case to be resolved.

03

Estates and landlords

For an unattended death in a rental or an estate property, responsibility usually falls to the estate or the property owner rather than the family. If you are not sure which applies, say so on the call and we will help you work out who to ask.

04

What we do about it

We itemize the work in the format carriers and programs expect, and can bill directly where a carrier permits it. You should not have to reconstruct what happened in your own home to satisfy a claims form.

Common questions

Frequently asked

How quickly can someone come out?

We are available 24/7/365 and can be on site within 24 hours across the DFW metroplex. In practice, calls of this kind are usually handled faster than that. If you are waiting on law enforcement to release a scene, we can be scheduled to arrive as soon as that happens, so nothing is lost waiting for a callback.

Will the neighbors know what happened?

Not from us. Vehicles are unmarked, equipment is carried in without staging on the lawn, and nothing about the exterior of the job identifies what is being done. We will also work around a time of day if there is one that draws less attention — it is a reasonable thing to ask for and you will not be the first to ask.

Does insurance cover biohazard or trauma cleanup?

Often, yes. Many homeowners and commercial property policies cover it, and Texas also operates a Crime Victims' Compensation Program that can reimburse crime scene cleanup for eligible victims and their families. The mistake we see most is people assuming it is not covered and never asking. Call your carrier, describe the specific service, and let us itemize the work in the format they need. Our crime scene cleanup FAQs go into this in more detail.

Do I have to be there while the work is done?

No. Some people want to be present and some cannot be, and neither is the wrong answer. We can coordinate with a family member, an attorney, a property manager or an estate representative, and we document the work throughout so that whoever was not there can see exactly what was done and what was set aside.

What happens to personal belongings?

Anything that appears to be personal — photographs, documents, jewelry, keepsakes — is set aside rather than discarded, and returned to you or to whoever you nominate. Porous items that have been contaminated sometimes cannot be saved, and when that is the case we will tell you before anything is removed rather than after. On hoarding work especially, nothing leaves the property without the resident's agreement.

How much does specialty cleaning cost?

It depends on the area affected, how much porous material has to be removed rather than disinfected, and how much regulated waste the job generates — which is why nobody can give you a real figure over the phone without knowing those things. Hoarding work is the one service with a published starting point, on the hoarding cleanup FAQs. For everything else, you will have an itemized written quote before any work begins.

Available around the clock

Call when you are ready

You do not need to have details prepared or decisions made. Tell us where the property is and what has happened, and we will take it from there — discreetly, and with the scope and cost in writing before any work begins.
